The AXM is a completely automated machine designed to scan an axle in order to build a three dimensional profile. From this profile, diameter and length measurements can be determined. The wheel seat diameters will be communicated to wheel boring machines to produce a matched wheel set, the rest of the data will be stored locally or remotely in a database, as well as producing a printed hard copy. This system provides a higher accuracy measurement while increasing consistency by eliminating the chances of human error.
